About Base64

Base64 is a binary-to-text encoding scheme that represents binary data in an ASCII string format.

Uses 64 characters: A-Z, a-z, 0-9, +, / (with = for padding).

Common uses: Email attachments, embedding images in CSS/HTML, API data transfer, JWT tokens.

Size increase: Base64 encoded data is ~33% larger than the original binary data.

File encoding: Drag and drop a file to encode it as a data URI (data:image/png;base64,...).

All processing happens locally in your browser. Your data is never sent to any server.
